Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers athletes returned from the Southern Indoor Championships on Saturday with four gold medals, two silver and three bronze.

New club member Ojie-Dayo Edoburun took top spot with a new personal best of 6.73 in the 60m while Adam Carpenter (Under-23) cleared 4.90m to win the men’s pole vault.

After missing 2013 through injury, Nadia Williams made an impressive return as she won the triple jump with 12.93m. Daniel Lewis also claimed gold in the triple jump after reaching 15.44m.

The silver medallists were Dylan Carlsson-Smith (Under-17) and Matthew Lally (Under-17) in the pole vault and high jump respectively.

Finishing third in their events were Richard Morrissey in the 200m and Alando Alfred and Yasmin Lakin in the triple jump.

At the Scottish National Open in Glasgow, Jessie Concannon finished second in the 60m in a time of 8.29 while John Carr also won silver in the long jump after achieving a distance of 7.38m.
