Barnet have announced Uli Landvreugd and Dick Schreuder will take charge of the Bees' first team.

The Dutch duo will be in control of all first team football matters and Paul Fairclough will step aside as interim manager and return to his role as director of football.

Landvreugd joined the club with Edgar Davids in October 2012 while Schreuder arrived last summer.

Fairclough says it is important to continue the "legacy" left by Davids and believes the two coaches will be able to do that.

However, he added the club will "reassess the situation" over the next few weeks depending on how the bees perform.

“Despite Edgar Davids’ short time at the Barnet he has left a big imprint and a footballing legacy that can provide the perfect platform for the club to achieve wonderful things," Fairclough told the club's website.

“The imprint he has left is something myself and the club have been searching for and instead of losing it what we need to do now is develop it.”

He added: “The only thing missing from this philosophy was winning matches but the transition is very much in its infancy and I believe that Uli and Dick can develop our exciting style into a winning style.

“Of course football is a results business so we will need to see how things work out over the next few weeks and then reassess the situation again.”
