Harriers reach Olympic final
Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers duo Yamile Aldama and Trecia Kaye Smith are both safely through to the Olympic final of the triple jump following this morning’s qualifiers.

British athlete Aldama finished second in Group A behind Jamaican Kimberley Williams with a leap of 14.45m in the Olympic Stadium.
It was the third furthest distance posted in the qualifying round, with Kazakhstan’s Olga Rypakova’s 14.79m in Group B leading the way.
Representing Jamaica, Smith posted a season’s best of 14.31m in Group B meaning she will join Aldama in the final in two days time.
