Induction - isn't that what they do to heavily pregnant women?

By Sarah Cosgrove »

AS lunchtime approaches on THE DAY OF THE GYM I am beginning to feel somewhat trepidatious about this evening's induction.

For a start induction doesn't sound very friendly does it? It sounds like some kind of painful medical procedure. Actually I think it is, isn't that what doctors do to heavily pregnant women to force their little darlings out into the big, bad, scary world?

*gulp*

Either way I'm quite sure it will be a matter of minutes before I am red-faced, in pain, feeling violently sick and cursing the day my Mum met my Dad. So not so different after all.

Luckily Greg, the Deputy Manager at LA Fitness in New Barnet, says he'll look after me.

He tells bad experiences doing sport at school were what drove him to join the gym in the first place. And now he's in charge!

So there's hope for me yet.

Still I know by the time 6.30pm rolls around I'll be tired and demotivated and hungry.

Really if it wasn't for you I might just sack it all off and go and have a curry.

Is this maybe why I'm so fat?

Just a thought.
