Old Emanuel 152 all out ( 51.5 overs) Addiscombe 155-7 (50.5 overs)

Addiscombe won the toss and asked Old Emanuel to bat on a relatively lifeless pitch with a lush outfield and windy conditions in this Surrey Championship 1st XI game.

In Cooper's first over opener Stapp's fine edge was snapped up by keeper Matthew Crocombe and with five overs completed OEs were just 6 for one.

Pummie Singh and Mayer took the score to 23 when a full toss from Cooper had Mayer lbw for nine in the eighth over. David Astwood joined Singh and the two maintained three per over until Saleem had Singh (14) lbw with the score on 38.

Barry Lineker joined the attack and took the wickets of Steve Reilly, Ben Sigler and tail ender Clive Noble, leaving Debidin on 19 not out and Old Emanuel all out for 152.

With 58 overs available Addiscombe had the worst possible starts as Richard Johnson was given out lbw to Noble in the second over and David Liddemore was caught at slip in the next off Rathore as Addiscombe were 2 for two. Saleem and Dyer dug in and took the score to 48 in 21 overs, before Saleem (28) was run out.

Dyer reached his fifty in the 35th over as the score moved on to 99 for three.

With the score on 124 Dyer gave a simple catch to mid on to end on 68. In the next over Salmons was run out for 24.

Crocombe and Martin Stevens eventually saw Addiscombe home as Crocombe hit the boundary in the 51st over.
