Leading residential estate agent Hamptons International was delighted to sponsor The Festival of British Eventing last weekend (4-6 August), one of the most significant annual events in the equestrian calendar, for the 14th year. Thousands descended to Gatcombe Park, home of HRH The Princess Royal, to watch on as the world’s best event riders competed.

Continuing tradition, Hamptons International hosted a VIP lunch on Friday which was attended by 50 friends and close associates of the estate agency. With the sun shining, Peter Phillips, the elder child and only son of Princess Anne, and Harry Meade, one of Britain’s leading event riders once again both welcomed Hamptons International guests to Gatcombe. Hamptons International enjoys a long standing relationship with Harry, who spoke over lunch of his experience in the Three Day Eventing arena thus far in 2017. Harry then took the guests on a fascinating walk around the Cross Country Course explaining how and why it was designed.

On the Saturday rain fell heavily – although the show went on – and the Hamptons International branded ponchos and umbrellas saw a surge in popularity. Eventually the sun appeared just in time to welcome the Riding for the Disabled Association, for which Hamptons International provided the rosettes.

Over the weekend, those visiting the park also enjoyed the Pony Club games, the magnificent Atkinson Action Horses and the Shetland Pony Grand National. Many visitors came to the pop-up Hamptons International stand to partake in the ‘Guess the Price’ competition, to discuss the current property market and to take away some extremely popular Hamptons International branded dog leads. With refreshments for the adults and face-painting for the children, Hamptons International was delighted to welcome new and familiar faces alike.

Andrew Marshall, Senior Regional Sales Director at Hamptons International comments: “All at Hamptons International are thrilled at the success of this year’s Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park. It is a real opportunity to network with past and potential clients and we have over 350 guests annually who we provide event tickets for, Gatcombe Park is a special location which has an atmosphere like no other event –a testament to the organisers. The relationship that they create with the sponsors, competitors and trade stand holders makes it a relaxed and hugely enjoyable occasion.”
