Wooden spoons, oven gloves and measuring bowls at the ready, it’s the Happy Foodie Festival in Rickmansworth on Saturday.

Organised by the Chorleywood Bookshop and The Random House Group, the cookery book festival is back for a second year and once again features a host of television stars and Michelin-starred chefs. From Dragon’s Den success story Levi Roots and MasterChef 2012 winner Shelina Permalloo to Michelin-star chef Michael Caines, the day will include something for everyone.

The Happy Foodie Festival celebrates the very best in cookery writing, with a stellar line-up of the UK’s finest chefs, cookery writers and local food suppliers.

Ricky’s Royal Masonic School for Girls will once again host local food stalls, tasting opportunities, demonstrations and ethical debates from some of the UK’s most popular chefs.

The full line-up comprises: columnist for The Times and Saga Lindsey Bareham; Michael Caines; vegan bakery owner Ms Cupcake; resident chef for This Morning and MasterChef finalist Dean Edwards; 2012 host of Celebrity MasterChef Alexis Gauthier; The Great British Bake Off finalist James Morton; founder and creative director of Lebanese restaurant chain Comptoir Libanais, Tony Kitous; presenter of Channel 4 series The Spice Trip Stevie Parle; Shelina Permalloo; bon viveur Cleo Rocos; Levi Roots; Vietnamese street-food entrepreneurs Van Tran and Anh Vu; and food editor of The Week Jojo Tulloh.

“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Random House on this exciting festival, welcoming such amazing talent to Chorleywood,” say Sheryl Shurville and Morag Watkins, owners of Chorleywood Bookshop. “Community is at the heart of what we do at our bookshop and we pride ourselves on taking the shop out to the local community and beyond.”
