2. Proms at St Jude’s

Literature and music combine to celebrate 150 years since Alice in Wonderland was published, with a special programme of entertainment. Daily concerts with top artists will be on offer as well as free lunchtime music recitals. The festival opens with a weekend of literary delights from eight authors. Proceeds from the festival go to Toynbee Hall and North London Hospice.

3. Dad Dancing Workshop

5. Elstree and Borehamwood Civic Festival

Now in its 59th year, the civic festival kicks off with a vibrant carnival parade featuring the City of London Brass Marching Band. Throughout the fortnight, there will be workshops, concerts, cinema screenings and best-selling author Annie Murray will be giving a talk about her latest book, War Babies, on June 23 at Borehamwood Library.
