An Edgware school choir scooped a top award for its performance at a major international music festival.
The North London Collegiate School Canon’s Choir competed in the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in North Wales and took the silver medal - just missing out on gold, which was won by Hong Kong-based St Paul’s Educational College Primary School.
Eilir Owen Griffiths, the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod’s director of music, says: “The standard of competition was exceptionally high and we were treated to some wonderful young voices.
“Finishing second is something the children of the North London Collegiate School Canon’s Choir should be very proud of and they deserve huge credit.”
