Alan Plater’s play Peggy For You, about a day in the life of his own larger-than-life theatrical agent was first performed at Hampstead Theatre in 1999 with Maureen Lipman as Peggy.

Now Garden Suburb Theatre is putting its own spin on the play which promises to be a witty, wry but unsentimental account. Regular member Natalie White is playing Peggy with newcomer Maya Ellis as her secretary Tessa. A mix of new and long-time members - Colin Gregory, Mike Nower and Kayne McCutcheon - make up the rest of the cast.

Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate Village, November 26-28, 7.30pm and November 2, 4pm. Details: 020 8340 3488, gardensuburbtheatre.org.uk
