Pair Dance presents an evening of dance at The Ark in Borehamwood

Pair Dance is hosting a dance performance at The Ark Theatre in Borehamwood to mark the celebrations of the 2012 Olympic year.

This project, Inspire/Duality is one of the outstanding projects granted the London 2012 Inspire mark, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme, which recognises exceptional and innovative projects inspired by the 2012 Games.

In the summer of 2012, the UK will come alive with the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our four-year Cultural Olympiad will reach a climax when the London 2012 Festival starts on 21 June 2012, followed by the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony on 27 July.

The Inspire programme is run by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. New opportunities are being created to inspire young people and encourage the whole of the UK to join in. The Inspire programme has awarded over 1,400 different projects the Inspire mark.

Pair Dance have created a unique performance which will include more than 100 young people from local youth groups K’s School of Dance, idance ,Pair Dance Creative Learning and Spectrum.

The performance is accompanied by a preview of Pair Dance professional company’s new digital work Duality which has a full showing at The Ark Theatre in October and will feature local celebrity Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney in EastEnders.

Pair Dance has also been awarded the rights to use the Inspire Mark as part of London 2012 Inspire programme. 2700 projects across the UK have been awarded the mark and have been inspired by the Games to do something special in their local communities.
