The Burroughs, in Hendon, finally reopened yesterday evening after a burst water main caused three days of traffic chaos.
Thames Water has confirmed that the road was fully reopened at 9pm yesterday.
It was closed at 1am on Monday after a water main burst outside Hendon Town Hall.
This problem was repaired by 6am but another pipe then sprung a leak.
This second leak caused so much damage that a large part of the road had to be resurfaced.
The closure of The Burroughs caused congestion in Church Road and Brent Street.
It also led to bus routes 143, 326, 183, 643, 653 and 683 being diverted.
In a statement Thames Water said: “We are very sorry for the disruption this has caused since Monday.”
