Young performers are warming up their vocal chords and practising their dance moves as they prepare to take part in the final of a glee club competition.
True Rhythms Glee Group from Friern Barnet School in Hemington Avenue, is through to the grand final of the Jack Petchey Foundation Glee Club Challenge which will take place at the Indigo O2 Arena on Sunday, November 18.
Inspired by the hit TV series Glee, the aim of the challenge is to find the best young musical talent.
True Rhythms is the school’s second ever glee club and is made up of 13 performers aged between 12 to 14-years-old.
Henry Perkins, True Rhythms director and music and performing arts teacher, said “We are all so excited to just have the opportunity to perform at a wonderful venue and with such talented performers. I am so proud feel that they are learning a huge amount from the process and journey.”
The winning group will win a share of £5,000 in prizes.
