A schoolgirl is trying to calm her nerves as she gets ready to jump out of a plane for charity this weekend.
Louise Heliczer, 16, of Brookmans Park, will take on the free-fall parachute jump at the Sibson Airfield in Peterborough on Sunday, November 4.
Louise, who goes to Mount Grace School in Potters Bar, said: “I’m so nervous, and I know the day before I'll be really nervous. But a skydive is something I’ve always wanted to do."
So far Louise has raised more than £800 in sponsorship money, which she plans to donate to the British Heart Foundation.
She said: “I know quite a lot of people have been affected by heart problems so that’s why I chose this charity.
“My granddad, Jerry, died of a heart condition so it’s something that’s quite personal to me.”
Louise is hoping to raise at least £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation, which aims to prevent people dying from heart disease.
