Trio jailed after attacking two men over a game of pool in Hendon

Three men who attacked pub-goers following an argument over a game of pool have been jailed for four years.

Christopher Hayes, 25, and Lee Hayes, 26, of Hyde Crescent, West Hendon, and Billy Saunders, 23, of Prayle Grove, Brent Cross, were handed the sentence at Wood Green Crown Court today.

The trio were found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, affray, and assault amounting to actual bodily harm following an argument over the use of a pool table at a pub in Hendon October 7, 2011.

Arming themselves with bottles, they followed two men, aged 28 and 32, out of the pub.

As they reached the top of Vivien Avenue, Hayes, Hayes and Saunders attacked the two men.

The 32-year-old victim suffered a severe wound near his eye and was struck on the back of the head. He was then punched and knocked unconscious before being kicked repeatedly in the head.

The 28-year-old victim also suffered facial injuries.

All three defendants have been sentenced to four years in jail.
