Children at a Jewish school in Finchley Central made vegetable soup for the homeless when they took part in Mitzah Day weekend on Friday.
Pupils at Akiva School, in East End Road, tried out their culinary skills as part of the Jewish good deeds day, officially taking place today (Sunday).
Synagogues and organisations across Barnet will be undertaking charitable causes throughout the day.
Year 4 pupils at the school decorated winter clothing to give to Jewish homeless charity Jcore, while the Reception class baked challa to give to the North London Hospice.
