A hooded thief used a crowbar to steal cash from a photo booth at Mill Hill Broadway rail station - in full view of evening travellers.
British Transport Police is appealing to members of the public to help identify the man, who was caught on CCTV in the ticket hall on Sunday November 11 at 8.45pm.
Footage shows the man trying to force open the photo booth’s cash box for more than ten minutes in front of a number of bystanders.
He then left the ticket hall in the direction of the station platform, taking with him a small amount of cash from the machine.
The thief was wearing a black tracksuit top and white trousers.
PC Hayley Hussey, who is leading the investigation, said: “He makes no attempt whatsoever to hide what he is doing. We believe several members of the public will remember seeing this take place and we also think several people will recognise the man responsible.
“We urge anyone who was at the station at the time or who saw the incident take place to contact British Transport Police.”
