A woman, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, has died after being hit by a lorry in Edgware.
The ambulance service was called to High Street at 10.30am following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry outside the Lidl supermarket.
Two ambulances and London Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
Despite efforts to resuscitate the patient, she was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor from the air ambulance.
High Road is closed between Station Road and Camrose Avenue because of the crash.
