High Street, Edgware, partially reopens following fatal crash

The southbound lane of High Street, Edgware, has reopened following a fatal crash.

Both lanes of the road were closed from Station Road to Camrose Avenue following the collision at 10.30am.

A female pedestrian in her 50s or 60s died at the scene after being hit by a lorry.

The northbound lane remains closed and traffic is queuing.

Oh my how sad my condolonces are with her family thats why the traffic was absoloutely horrendus going down the main road all the way from edgware libary even down hale lane

Sad story but like a lot of other accidents involving pedestrians so avoidable, Please use crossings to cross the road, All too often i see people try to cross in front of oncoming traffic these are not children these are people who are old enough to know better this may or may not be the cause of this accident but next time you want to cross do it at a safe place

There was an accident about a year ago by Lidl some child got hit by a car when crossing the road seriously people should be more careful you learn road safety at a young age
