No arrests have been made following the death of a woman who was knocked down by a lorry in Edgware.
Police had previously stated a 28-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the fatal collision outside Lidl supermarket on Friday December 21.
They have since retracted the statement and have said no arrests have taken place.
A 78-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the road death investigation unit on 020 8246 9820.
