A dancer from East Barnet will be busting some moves in a bid to impress judges on TV show Got to Dance tonight.

Eian Crockatt, 26, of Church Hill Road, will star in the show's first episode with his dance group G-Nome.

The contemporary jazz dance group is made up of five males aged between 21 and 26-years-old.

Eian, who started dancing when he was 15-years-old, said: “I really enjoy being creative and really enjoy entertaining people, and I quite like the attention.

“As a group we want contemporary dance to be more featured on the show and to be recognised in the dance world.”

In preparation for Got to Dance G-Nome rehearsed every week to create a one-and-a-half minute performance for the show.

The dancers then had to shake-off any nerves as they performed in front of the show's top judges including JLS star Aston Merrygold, former Pussycat Dolls’ member Kimberly Wyatt and Diversity street dancer Ashley Banjo.

Speaking to the Times Series, Eian said: “It was really surreal. I can’t really remember it which seems bizarre – it went really fast.  We were very nervous."

Eian is looking forward to watching himself on Got to Dance on Sky 1 HD tonight at 6pm.
