As Barnet woke up to a thin veil of snow this morning, forecasters predicted more was on the way.
The Met Office has predicted snow will continue to fall in the borough from 12pm today, with a warning of "heavy snow" from 3pm.
Snow is also expected to fall on Tuesday and Wednesday as well as Friday afternoon with temperatures falling to -2C.
Barnet’s gritting teams have been treating the borough’s roads after being called into action 40 times since the start of the winter season, spreading 637 tonnes of grit across more than 4,492 miles of road.
Grit bins have also been filled with 134 tonnes of salt, with nearly 3,000 further tonnes on standby.
