Workmates hope to impress in Dancing Strictly competition for North London Hospice
Cheered on by their colleagues, a dancing duo are hoping to cha-cha-cha their way to the top of the leader board in next month’s Dancing Strictly competition for North London Hospice.
Workmates Louise McKinnon, 47, and John Droy, 57, are one of 12 couples taking part in the dancing contest to raise cash for the hospice.
Hoping to lift the winner’s trophy, Louise and John are spicing up their cha cha with some hip twists and plenty of va-va-voom.
John, a facilities manager at Affinity Water, said: “Any chance we get we’re practising in the conference room. It’s great fun.”
Louise, a finance analyst from Potters Bar, said: “We’ve started to gather audiences in the office. The better we get the more people are watching.
“I’m passionate about dance and I’m passionate about the work the hospice does. The hospice is never empty and it’s so reliant on fundraising to continue its marvellous work.”
As well as learning their dance moves, each couple needs to raise at least £500 for the hospice that supports people with life-limiting illnesses.
The Dancing Strictly grand finale will take place on Saturday February 9 at Millfield Theatre in Edmonton.
