A supermarket in Potters Bar has donated cash to help blind bowls players.
Staff at Sainsbury’s in Darkes Lane handed a cheque for £100 to the Barnet Blind & Partially Sighted Bowls Club to pay towards their transport.
Each year the club needs to raise more than £3,000 to get its members to games.
Store manager Suzanne Kara said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it.”
The cash was raised through the sale of Sainsbury’s reusable Bags for Life.
