Dustin Hoffman making his directorial debut with Quartet
Barnet is not the normal hangout for A-list actors better associated with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
But actor Dustin Hoffman will be swapping his shades for winter woolies as he makes his way to meet film lovers at Phoenix Cinema in High Road, East Finchley, this Friday.
He will be taking part in a question and answer session about his life and career, which has included seven Academy Award nominations for acting, of which he won two for Kramer vs Kramer and Rain Man, as well as starring roles in hit films including The Graduate and Hook.
The discussion will be followed by a chance to see Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut Quartet.
Tickets for the screening sold out in less than two hours after it was announced on the cinema's Twitter feed.
