Post office move in East Barnet would extend opening hours

The Post Office is consulting on plans to move its East Barnet branch and extend its opening hours.

The national postal service wants to move the branch from 282 East Barnet Road to McKinnon’s Newsagent at number 265.

Opening times would be extended by 59 hours, including Saturday afternoons and Sundays, with no lunchtime closures.

The Post Office is holding a six week public consultation into the plans, which come under a wider move to convert more than 6,000 branches to more modern buildings.
