Schoolgirls from Mill Hill joined voices with thousands of children in a mass choir at the O2 Arena last night.

Thirty-six pupils from The Mount School travelled to Greenwich to take part in the Young Voice concert.

With the help of the school’s head of music Anthony Wilson the girls had been preparing for the event since September, learning dance moves as well as a wide range of songs.

Eight-year-old Andia Zarinabad, a pupil at the school, said: “The dancing was fun because we had to move a lot. I am sure the people who watched us were impressed.”

In harmony with schoolchildren around the O2, the girls performed songs from musicals as well as rock and pop medleys.

Francesca Prideaux, 11, added: “I loved the O2 because of the way that everyone joined in together to sing. It was so loud and made us all smile.”
