Motorists have been urged to prevent number plate thefts by taking advantage of a free scheme in Barnet.

Dagenham Motors in Edgware Road, Colindale, has teamed up with the Metropolitan Police to provide anti-tamper number plate screws to deter thieves.

Criminals use stolen number plates so their vehicles cannot easily be tracked by police. This happens frequently in crimes such as fuel thefts, road tax and insurance avoidance as well as burglaries.

To have your vehicle fitted with anti-tamper screws for free, visit Dagenham Motors on Tuesday, February 5.
