A new Hendon convenience store celebrated its launch with a donation to a charity that helps children with life-threatening illnesses.
Tesco Express in Vivien Avenue was officially opened by chief executive of Camp Simcha, Neville Goldschneider, who cut a ribbon before accepting a cheque for £500 on behalf of the charity.
Mr Goldschneider said: “The money Tesco has donated will be used to provide many of the children who use our services with special treats such as an outing or a party.
"These treats can really make a difference to children and their families facing a relentless round of treatments and hospital visits.”
