Young people are competing for the chance to represent Barnet in the UK Youth Parliament.
A total of 37 candidates between the ages of 11 and 18 will stand in the UK Youth Parliament Elections between February 4 and 15.
Other young people will be encouraged to read their manifestos before electing two Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs), and two deputy MYPs.
Successful candidates will go on to represent Barnet in the Youth Parliament where they can discuss local issues affecting young people in the borough.
Councillor Andrew Harper, cabinet member for education, children and families, said: “It’s great to see so many of our young residents working to represent their community in this election.
“Politics is a worthwhile and fascinating area to be involved in, so we hope our whole community votes to help them realise their dreams of becoming involved in our local political system.
“We wish all candidates the best of luck with the elections and look forward to welcoming the new team in March.”
