An aspiring model is using his good looks to raise the profile of a men’s cancer charity in memory of his dad.

Michael Spyrou of Cotswold Gardens, Golders Green, has reached the finals of a national competition to crown Britain’s best groomed man in aid of Orchid Male Cancer.

The 32-year-old beat off competition from thousands of entrants and will now go head–to-head with 29 other men in an online public vote.

The competition was launched by the charity, which carries out research and campaigns to save men’s lives from testicular, prostate, and penile cancers, together with shaving brand The Bluebeards Revenge.

The winner will be offered a modelling contract with the male grooming firm.

Michael, whose father George died of cancer five years ago when he was just 69, said: “I know how important it is for men to be aware of cancer and to check themselves out. I hope by taking part in the competition I can make people more aware and raise the profile of Orchid.

“I’m excited to have reached the finals – I really wasn’t expecting it. I’d be absolutely delighted if I could go all the way and win it.”
