The Spice Girls singer wrote on Twitter this afternoon that she has been left "devastated" by the news
Spice Girl Emma Bunton's dog that went missing in Barnet was found dead by a member of the public this morning.
The singer, who lives in the Finchley area, wrote on Twitter this afternoon that she has been left "devastated" by the news.
She thanked the Barnet community, her friends and pet detective service Dog Lost for their help in searching for brown Labrador Phoebe since it went missing on Monday.
The Heart FM DJ’s “beloved” pooch, named after Phoebe in comedy Friends, ran off as it neared the end of its morning walk in Hadley Wood.
Miss Bunton made an emotional appeal on Twitter on Monday and offered a reward to anyone who found Phoebe but the worst news was confirmed this morning.
The 37-year-old wrote on Twitter today: “To all the amazing people who supported us at this horrible time Our precious phoebe has been found and its terrible news, we are devastated.
“A huge thank you to our amazing community, friends and Dog Lost, you have been an amazing support.”
Dog Lost representative Nik Oakley said in a statement: “Following a call from a member of the public this morning, Dog Lost were able to locate Phoebe with the assistance of the relevant authorities.
“Regretfully it was very sad news. Our thoughts are with Emma, Jade and the family.
“They have asked us not to reveal the circumstances and we have to respect that. It is very sad news and they're absolutely devastated. There were no suspicious circumstances, it was just a tragic accident.”
