A teenager charged with the attempted murder of a student who was stabbed in a Burnt Oak park is due to enter a plea on Monday.

Jason Farinas was arrested after two 16-year-olds were stabbed near basketball courts in Watling Park on the evening of January 15.

The 18-year-old is charged with the attempted murder of one of the boys and causing wounding with intent to the other.

One of the victims, a student at the London Academy, was left in a critical condition but has since been released from hospital and police say he is recovering well.

The other boy, a student at Barnet College, was discharged from hospital on the night of the attack.

Mr Farinas is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday where he is expected to enter a plea to the charges.
