YouTube video of Langdon's Brent Cross Shopping Centre flash mob released
A video of the 50-strong dance troupe took over Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Sunday has just been released on YouTube.
The dancers danced to Michael Jackson’s Wannabe Starting Something to mark the launch of a local welfare charity’s new campaign.
Langdon, an Edgware charity which supports people with learning disabilities, was launching its Love Langdon campaign which aims to raise awareness of the services Langdon provides for Jewish adults with learning disabilities.
Louise Lederman, marketing and communications manager at Langdon, said: "It was amazing, it was just fantastic. The atmosphere was amazing.
"There were crowds of people there watching the flash mob."
The annual Love Langdon campaign is running until February 17 and will include a number of other activities all aimed at raising funds and awareness.
Langdon chief executive Alison Rosen said: “Love Langdon Week is really important in helping us raise awareness of the work we do with adults and youth with learning disabilities, helping them live independently.
“So many members of the community have embraced and helped promote our work.
“It is also really exciting to be using social media to help us promote this campaign.
It is a first for the Jewish charity community to use Facebook in this way and we are delighted to be leading the way in utilising modern technology to raise awareness for Langdon.”
