Police are making renewed appeals for information one month after a double stabbing in a Burnt Oak park.

Two 16-year-old boys were attacked in Watling Park following an altercation with another group in their late teens at about 7.15pm on Tuesday, January 15.

One of the victims, a student at the London Academy, was left in a critical condition but has since left hospital following surgery.

Police have since revealed they believe the two groups knew each other.

Officers have already made arrests and one man, 18-year-old Jason Farinas, has been charged with attempted murder.

But appeals for information continue as officers look for more details on the assault.

On Friday, police safer neighbourhood teams will be patrolling the park between 6pm and 8pm handing out appeal leaflets.

They want to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the park at the time of the incident.

Mr Farinas was due to enter a plea to the attempted murder charge on Monday but the hearing was postponed until March 22 at Wood Green Crown Court.
