Man due in court over charity boxes theft from Bonjour Bakers in Hendon

A man charged with stealing charity boxes from a Hendon bakery is due in court today.

Peter Kirby, of Cheyne Close, Hendon, allegedly took the collection tins and a mobile phone during a robbery at Bonjour Bakers, in Brent Street, on January 15.

Police arrested the 33-year-old and bailed him until yesterday, when he was charged at Colindale Police Station with the robbery.

He was remanded in custody until his court appearance at Hendon Magistrates’ today.
