Broken wire still causing rail misery (From Times Series)

First Capital Connect Thameslink services still disrupted

A snapped overhead wire at Radlett is continuing to cause train delays around London and the south east.

Thameslink services are experiencing major disruption and Network Rail will continue to make repairs overnight.

There are currently two trains per hour running on the Wimbledon loop to and from Blackfriars station, which serves Radlett, Elstree and Borehamwood, Mill Hill Broadway, Hendon and Cricklewood stations.

Twice hourly services are also calling at Bedford and Luton Airport Parkway, St Albans, then all stations to St Pancras, Farringdon, City Thameslink, Blackfriars and as far as Brighton.

There are also two train trains per hour stopping at all stations between Bedford and St Albans and then fast to St Pancras and from there at all stations to Three Bridges followed by Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Preston Park and Brighton.

From 9pm there will be no train services between West Hampstead and Bedford. Services will continue between West Hampstead and Brighton, and the Wimbledon Loop and Blackfriars.

A bus replacement service will be in place calling at all stations.

The company is also running buses between Hatfield and St Albans, Hitchin and Luton Airport Parkway, and St Neots and Bedford.

All Thameslink tickets will be accepted on Great Northern services to allow customers to use these bus services.

An express bus service will run between St Pancras, St Albans and Luton Airport Parkway.

"We are doing our best to help passengers continue their journey and are preparing travel plans for this evening, when Network Rail will complete the repair works, from 10pm.
