A health trust looking to become more independent of the NHS is asking users to contribute to a public consultation on its transformation plans.

The Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH), which provides community nursing, children services and rehabilitation among other things, wants to become a foundation trust by spring 2014.

The shift would give it more freedom from central NHS in running its management and finances.

CLCH, which employs 3,000 medical staff and provides community healthcare in six London boroughs including Barnet, is carrying out a consultation on its plans.

The trust carried out a similar exercise last year but has re-opened the feedback scheme following some changes to its proposals.

The consultation ends on April 3. For more information, visit www.clch.nhs.uk.
