More than 300 people joined the Ambassador of Israel at a musical gala to help raise £116,000 for Jewish Care's Holocaust Survivor’s Centre in Hendon.

Daniel Taub and supporters of the centre enjoyed performances by violinist Maxim Vengerov and pianist Itamar Golan.

Speaking at the event on Monday, Daniel Taub said: “This event is about expressing our admiration and love for the survivors. We must ensure that their story will never be forgotten.”

The audience also watched a film featuring Holocaust survivors telling their courageous stories and speaking about the importance of the Holocaust Survivor’s Centre in Church Road.
