The Six Nations trophy was in English hands this week – but the national team will have to do a lot more than these young players to hold it aloft at the end of this year’s tournament.

The sport’s most coveted European prize visited Elizabethans RFC in High Barnet on Wednesday as part of a tour across all the competing nations.

Youth players at the Byng Road club got up close and personal with the silverware as part of sponsor RBS’s grassroots rugby programme.

You can follow the trophy tour on the official website or tweet a request for it to visit you @rbs_six_nations using the hashtag #trophytour.
