Police given more time to quiz suspect over death of man in Bittacy Hill, Mill Hill

Murder detectives have been given more time to quiz a 57-year-old who was arrested following the death of a man on Saturday.

Police were called to an address in Bittacy Hill, Mill Hill, shortly before 11pm on Saturday following reports of a disturbance.

Officers found a 30-year-old man unconscious and a 57-year-old man with cuts to his face and neck.

The younger man was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at 11.51pm.

The 57-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and this morning officers were given more time to question the man, who remains in police custody.
