Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Edgware last Friday.
A 60-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a black Nissan Micra in Deans Lane at 7pm.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics but later died of his injuries in hospital.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit are investigating.
Detective Constable Jon Wedger said: "The road was apparently very busy at the time of the collision and we would ask anyone who saw the incident to please call us.
“Any information you have, no matter how small you think it is, may be very useful to our investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call officers on 020 8842 1817.”
The driver of the Nissan Micra stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.
