Organisers of the annual Proms at St Jude’s Festival have announced their line-up of top musical performers who will be taking centre stage this summer.

World renowned ensemble The Sixteen are just one of many acts who will perform in the nine-day event in Hampstead Garden Suburb.

Others include bass-baritone Sir Willard White, violin virtuoso Charlie Siem and Proms patron, pianist John Lill.

Proms spokesman Ron Finlay said: “We have a programme to suit all tastes and it should be a spectacular 21st year for us.”

The event will include a literary festival with authors such as Whitbread Book of the Year prize-winner Kate Atkinson, scientist Baroness Susan Greenfield and Hampstead resident Simon Garfield.

A vintage jazz night has also been planned as well as a series of free lunchtime events showcasing rising young musicians and seven guided heritage walks in and around Hampstead Garden Suburb and the City.

The festival will take place from Saturday June 22 to Sunday June 30 in and around Central Square.

Money raised at the event will go to the North London Hospice, which supports people with life limiting illnesses and the Aspire project at Toynbee Hall which provides creative opportunities for young people.
