Train services running with delays
People left feeling glum about the freezing weather should brace themselves for delays to train services this morning.
First Capital Connect is reporting delays of up to 40 minutes on its Bedford to Brighton route, which passes through Borehamwood, Mill Hill and Hendon.
Passengers have taken to social networking site Twitter to vent their frustration, and many claim to be stuck on the platform at Elstree & Borehamwood waiting for a train.
User Alexander Reuben wrote: “40 minutes on train platform without even one announcement. Great Service First Capital Connect – still no sign of train.”
