Police have scaled back their presence at a traveller site after they were called to prevent a mass brawl between two families earlier today.

More than 40 officers were called to the site in Barnet Road, which was closed between Dancers Hill Road and Dove Lane, after two gangs were left "squaring up to each other" this morning.

Barnet Road (A1000) has now been reopened, though one police unit remains at the scene.

No arrests were made.

No doubt one family had out-stole the other one this week, and then their intelligence kicked in...

No fight, it was a competition to see which family could tarmac the drive the fastest or fit the fastest gutters and fascias. Another 8 months and the Romanian 'travellers' will be wanting in on this action once they are entitled to all the UK benefits.
