Recipes concocted by Mill Hill schoolchildren have helped to raise £155 for charity.

Pupils at The Mount School in Mill Hill have been busy selling their cookbook A Celebration of Food from the Four Seasons of the World in aid of The Good Neighbour Scheme.

The students were out in force at John Lewis in Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Sunday encouraging shoppers to buy a copy.

Year 10 pupil Amber Codron said: "We have a great team of girls and staff making it all come together and have learnt so much from this project."

The Good Neighbour Scheme supports the elderly and people with disabilities living in Mill Hill and Burnt Oak by providing help with gardening, transport and shopping trips as well as organising lunch clubs.

The cash boost will help the group to pay for the minibus to be used for five weeks worth of shopping trips.
