Residents in Potters Bar are being reminded to register to vote in time for the next elections.
Elections for the 77 seats on Hertfordshire County Council will take place on May 2.
The council, which gets 74p in every council tax pound, oversees services such as schools, roads, fire and rescue and social services.
People who want to use a postal vote have until Wednesday, April 17 to submit their form.
