Mill Hill people are calling for more people to join their newly relaunched residents group.

Mill Hill Residents Association, which had its annual meeting on Tuesday at St Paul's CE Primary School in The Ridgeway, is holding a recruitment drive in a bid to attract more members.

Founded in 1909 to serve the community and help retain the charm and heritage of the area, the amount of work the association was able to do had fallen in recent years due to a decline in volunteers.

However an influx of new blood on the committee has meant the residents association, open to anyone in the NW7 area, is now an active force in the community again.

Chairman Richard Logue said: “If you are passionate about preserving and enhancing Mill Hill's local services and facilities, if you are keen to understand and shape how local government plans will impact our area, if you are committed to maintain our green and historic areas and are interested in meeting and working with people who share your views and concerns, then please join us.”
