Finchley boy has day to remember with Arsenal FC
Most football fans have to watch their favourite players on television – but one lucky boy was the star of the show when he was invited to meet Arsenal FC.
David Rahamim, of Finchley, had a day to remember when he played a match against the team’s players at the Emirates Stadium last Thursday.
The eight-year-old was invited to play a part in the 30th anniversary celebrations of the club’s young supporter scheme, the Junior Gunners, which was founded in 1983.
Arsenal-mad David was one of 30 youngsters who won the chance to take part in a game of football with Arsenal’s first team.
He said: “I had a brilliant day at Arsenal. Not only did I get to meet my favourite players I was able to play football with them too.”
He was selected at random to take part in the day from more than 30,000 Junior Gunners.
