One third of all GCSE results at Copthall School in Mill Hill achieved the top grades.

Students at the Pursley Road school in Mill Hill achieved an increase in the number of A*s achieved for the third year running.

The school said it was “delighted” at the number of subjects in which 40 per cent or more grades were in the top bracket, as well as those following industry standard qualifications.

A spokesman from the school said: “We are confident that as in previous years, the 2013 results will place Copthall as one of the top comprehensive schools nationally for the progress or ‘value-added’.

“Students across the ability range succeed at Copthall School and 2013 is no exception to this tradition.”

Individual successes included Meghna Deshmukh, Fatima Asad, Nora Gjerqeku, Shiama Chotai, Abir Ahmed, Melissa Ataguba, Sara Hinton, Andri Neocleous, Sama Osman, Jade Constantinou and Sheena Bhagat who achieved A*s or As in all of their subjects.
